Romanesque Architecture (Virtual Heritage)
Abstract
The application is a walkthrough of one or more selected building influenced by Romanesque Architecture. The amount of building depends on the complexity of once architecture.
Target Audience
Age 15 to 25
Goal
- The goal of the application is to allow the user to appreciate the Romanesque architecture. The application would try to simulate the world settings back in the era as accurate as possible.
- This application is focus more on visualization that we could never experience in this century. Since the application is set back in a town back in middle age, it is best to show it through VR technology. It would allow the user to visualize the whole environment back then as it will be created to cope with the time period.
- This virtual application would allow the user to explore each building that influenced by Romanesque architecture.
- There are a few types of walkthrough exist in the market. However, this walkthrough application is special due to the real time visualization approach that it offers. It could give the user an extraordinary experience because it is created not only for experiential purpose but also to appreciate the Romanesque architecture.

- To immerse the user through realistic visuals and audio effects
- To allow the user to experience an unique walkthrough
- To develop interest and appreciation of user on Romanesque Architecture

Description
On the starting of the walkthrough application, user will be given brief introduction about navigation. The user will start in a room and tutorials will be given. For example, the user will be prompted by pop up icons indicate on walking, jumping and interact with intractable objects. The user will be guided to proceed with the application through a door.
Entering the 1st Level-
The user is free to roam around the building area and experience the wonders of Romanesque architecture. The user could exit the application by pressing an escape button. There will be a pop out window that allows the user to exit the application.
Interaction Description
- User will be able to navigate the world through WASD Keys on the keyboard
- User will be able to know their present location with the mini map in the game
- User will be able to access information through pop up information
